RE: Vertical Sealant best practices

Heat gun, sparingly. Non scarring scraper blade. Clean up w/ mineral spirits, then spray with a dilute degreaser like purple power, wipe it clean, let it thoroughly dry.

RE: The buyers market

Doesn't look to me like 2022 shipments are anywhere close to those of 2008/2010.

RE: Towing an EMPTY tow dolly behind a Fifth Wheel east coast.

It's highly unlikely there's a State Trooper on the planet who gives a rip how much an RV weighs, whether or not the TV is off while the RV's engine is running, or what the towing configuration happens to be. If empty, my guess would be the chance of being cited would be even more remote. Be aware too, that if you tow the dolly empty, it will tow much better if you lower the tire psi and if it has a steerable axle it should be locked out. My Demco SS directs the tire pressure be about 12 psi when towing empty. It will track better and won't bounce down the road behind you like a basketball.

RE: Retile

Just determine how many tiles you'll need and weigh one. I've installed a lot of both ceramic and pocelain tile over the years and can't imagine installing it on a non monolithic surface. It's never a great idea to install those kinds of tile over wood floors in a house. An isolation barrier imo would at the minimum be necessary and a latex additive to a water based grout for flexibility if water based is what you're using.

RE: motorhome pricing

Thanks to all that replied. I decided not to buy this motorhome based on price. He actually had it listed for 45,0000. Wouldn't budge off of 28,0000 He'll budge when it becomes apparent noone is going to pay 30% over avg. retail for his MH only because that's the value he places on it.

RE: Motorhomes with 19.5 vs 22.5 tires

I suspect a lot of post hoc reason. The only way to conclusively determine a difference in ride and handling in a 19.5" and 22.5" tire would be in an all other things being equal side by side comparison. Otherwise the difference could be just as reasonably attributed to the upgraded shower head.

RE: Almost disaster

I'm sorry to say, that anytime I have a vehicle worked on anymore, I want to watch what's going on. For many years…if a lube shop wouldn’t let me watch, I’d leave and go elsewhere! Can’t tell you how many stupid people are employed in those types of establishments. It's not always that they're necessarily stupid, they're likely being pressured by their supervisors who are being pressured by their superiors and on up the food chain to produce, produce, produce. It's a numbers racket, the kid under their draining your oil pan is being told he has x amount of minutes to get the job done, otherwise he's out the door.
